MEETDr. Williams
Dr. LaToya K. Williams has been blessed with accomplishing several dimensions of education, which she understands is God’s grace given her for wisdom, knowledge, and insight. Dr. Williams, as her clients know her, actualizes this grace and wisdom through her private practice The Life Center. A passion for seeing God’s people healed inspired Dr. Williams to begin The Life Center in 2007. She serves as Director and Therapist of this entity, which is a counseling and resource center with the mission to provide healing, support, and resources to individuals, families, couples, and organizations through counseling, therapy, empowerment groups, and life coaching. The Life Center serves as a resource to the community and churches in the Metro Atlanta Area.
HERStory
Dr. LaToya K. Williams is the second of two children born to the late John and Marjorie Culver of Prentiss, MS. Continuing the familial legacy of academic excellence, Dr. Williams received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Spelman College and a Master of Social Work Degree from Clark Atlanta University. Dr. Williams advanced the legacy in receiving her Doctor of Education Degree from Argosy University, in Pastoral Community Counseling where she completed research and her dissertation entitled “A Study of the Self-Care of Pastors and their Spouses: Maintaining Holistic Health in the Individual and Marriage.”
Dr. Williams is a multifaceted leader endeavoring to empower others in their own ability to achieve greater dimensions of life through emotional, mental, and spiritual transformation. Inspiring and motivating all who cross her path, Dr. Williams invigorates the marketplace as a licensed therapist, clinician and minister. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker equipped with knowledge and experience, Dr. Williams serves as a therapist assisting individuals and couples in navigating the stages, transitions, phases and challenges of life. Uniquely entitled The Life Center, Dr. Williams’s private practice, was founded in 2007 as an outreach entity providing various counseling and life coaching services within the community. In 2014, The Life Center was established as a faith-based private practice where she now serves as the CEO and Chief Psychotherapist. This allows her to work with adults, couples, and families to assist them in achieving a greater dimension of life. Through The Life Center, she also utilizes her proficiencies to provide empowerment to leaders, businesses, and organizations through workshops, trainings, and coaching.
In addition to inspiring and empowering others through her preaching, teaching, counseling, coaching
or just helping out, Dr. Williams has the amazing privilege of being mom to and encouraging her son. Dr. Williams and Bishop J. C. Williams, I are the proud parents of Jeronn C. Williams, II (J. Cordell), a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and an aspiring artist.
